Tip of the week
Are you a "carboholic"?
The more common dietary practice of consuming more than two carbohydrate (starch) servings per meal, especially in economically challenged communities, is epidemic. These starchy foods are usually insatiably eaten at the expense of the much needed fruit and vegetable food categories. When this happens, one becomes a "carboholic".
Tip of the week
1 Peter 1:15,16. "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."
Those who would follow God are called to a holy standard of living. This holiness demands purity of character. It demands a life in which a hatred for sin defines one’s behavior. Such holiness is not manufactured in the heart of man by evolving ethics, but rather by the indwelling Spirit of God who teaches us "all truth."
